Jim Laubach is a 26-year veteran of the Lehigh Valley newspaper business, including 4 years as Editor of The (Bethlehem) Globe-Times. As Editor he won awards for editorial writing and, with his staff, investigative reporting and journalistic achievement.
He is a past member of the American Society of Newspaper Editors, the Pennsylvania Society of Newspaper Editors and Investigative Reporters & Editors. A resident of Bethlehem, he remains active in his community, volunteering at Musikfest and SteelStacks.
In addition to a lifelong love of baseball — and an affair since 2008 with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs — he enjoys fishing area lakes from his kayak or his son-in-law’s boat; advanced amateur photography; history of the Civil War and my ancestors who fought in it; family genealogy; open wheel and NASCAR auto racing; a fine red wine and a good cigar.
He and his wife, Katie, have 5 daughters, 1 son and Ian, 2, the most delightful grandson anyone could hope to have.
